LITTLE LUMP KNOT SYNOPSIS
~ Synopsis ~
I learned to make the Little Lump Knot from Pieter van de Griend. It took me a year to figure it out and another couple of years to finally get it to where it looked nice! I hope that with these instructions you will be able to make one immediately!!!. There are many applications/variations for the Little Lump Knot and I hope you can come up with some nice ones! The Little Lump Knot can be made with 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 etc. strands, and it is a natural for key fobs, bellropes, "fly-fisherman's(!?) clips" etc. Here are some Little Lump Knots!:

The Little Lump Knot can be made with almost any size of fairly hard cord!...notice the cords are twisted around the thimble. I make them with a "4-strand plait" now.
